Hydration Month

Well, this month did not go as planned, but I would like to think that it was an experience and a challenge none the less. This month was about drinking more water and just to make things a little bit of a challenge I also tried to not use plastic bottles. It started great actually but by the end of the month, I was really busy that I just couldn't keep this up. I'm the kind of person that forgets to drink water, if I'm not really really thirsty drinking water would never cross my mind and I'm not sure if that's common or if it's just me, but for someone that usually forgets to drink, I'm definitely more aware of it now after this month and I do try to force myself. An idea that worked is instead of drinking juice or soft drinks with my meals I started drinking water, also having a friend or a coworker (in my case they are the same person) that you spend a lot of time with could remind (Force) you to drink more or at least finish that one bottle. Another idea that is also good for the environment is that I bought a reusable water bottle and you can just take that anywhere with you plus it helped me to track how much I was actually drinking, the only problem that I faced is that if I'm not home or at work I couldn't really refill my bottle. One thing I learned through this challenge is to take it one step at a time, start with trying to finish one and you don't have to finish it in the first week it's fine if it takes time as long as you get there in the end. And of course it wouldn't be an experience for me without reading and researching about it, and the outcome of that research is that I was actually shocked to learn that not drinking water affected a lot of thing in my life so I'm gonna share some of them with you. 1. Feeling light headed and dizzy. 2. Feeling really tired and exhausted. 3. Feeling tired even after sleeping well. 4. Dry skin and chapped lips. 5. Getting frequent headaches. And these are things I go through but did not think that not drinking enough water is causing. The artwork at the top shows you how much I drank every day throughout the month of March.
