Millennials, also known as Generation Y, are one of the largest generations in history. They have grown up in a time of rapid change. Born between 1980 - 2000 the internet generation have grown up in a world of technology.

Millennials have this great desire to improve the world. They will look for solutions and are more aware of the problems effecting everyone from pollution to climate change. They are risk takers, live life in the fast lane and they love to learn, explore and are more open to change, maybe a big part in this is the internet because the information is a click away and it is so much easier than it
was for their parents and grandparents. Millennials are the most studied and talked about generation to date. They are the first generation
in history that have grown up totally immersed in a world of digital technology, which has shaped their identities and created lasting political, social and cultural attitudes. What differentiates millennials from other generations is that they are extremely connected, they use social media and texting more than the older generation. It is not just connecting with family members that live in another country or the friend that moved away, they started connecting with strangers they have never met before, made friendships from miles away and learned more about other cultures and traditions through social media friendships and that is what makes them knowledgeable and more aware. Research has shown that the Millennial generation in the United States is the most ethnically and racially diverse generation in the U.S. history. Politically, millennials are more progressive in their voting habits and less religiously observant.
On the negative side millennials have been described as lazy, prone to jump from job to job and narcissistic. People say they have unrealistic expectations of working life and are being rewarded
for minimal accomplishments. But I think that is what makes them great. They changed the normal way people work, the same boring nine to five behind the desk job not accomplishing what you really want and not following your dreams because you think it is impossible and not a normal job because people are not used to it. And people should always be rewarded no matter how small their accomplishments are, it keeps the workers motivated and makes them feel happy and good about themselves.
But, the truth is both arguments are true. The reality must fall somewhere in between.
